[ With Tides having become Kaveh's go-to for clothing and a number of other things, it's been a while since he's come back to Luan Street. Not that it has really changed that much— The birds still fly overhead, beautiful and vibrant in both appearance and song. The stalls are still full of a variety of foods, and the shops still bright with different colors of clothing.
As always, he's left with the feeling that he could browse for hours and hours, lose himself amidst the color and the sound and the fun— but today, he has a reason for being here, one that keeps him hovering close to the station until the next train gets in, and Cyno disembarks.
Without hesitation, Kaveh strides to him, greeting him first with a smile and then with a half-hug around his shoulders. He looks different now, with his jackal ears and fluffy tail, almost as if he's taken on some of his partner's features for himself; he's still the General Mahamatra though, one of Kaveh's best friends and companions. ]
You ready?
[ Personally, he's a little scared. But that's neither here nor there. ]
he's been thinking about getting another tattoo for quite awhile now, but things continued to crop up, life continued to be distracting, and he had never quite gotten around to it. but now? now, kaveh wants one, and, well, cyno won't let him go it alone! they might as well do it together, hmm?
so here he is, stepping off of the train, glancing around for kaveh - but his friend soon approaches without cyno needing to find him. he smiles. ]
[ Kaveh nods, and his smile is brilliant— although maybe tinged with just the smallest bit of anxiety. He's excited too, but unlike Cyno, he doesn't have any tattoos at all. He's chosen something quite complicated and large for his first, and it's nerve-wracking. ]
I do.
[ He holds out a sheaf of papers— a carefully-drawn sketch, a self-portrait showing where he wants it on his body, the same original artwork again but with color for reference. He may have over-prepared just a little... ]
[ Kaveh's expression brightens when he sees Cyno's planned tattoo. Like the one he's designed for himself, he thinks it speaks very much of the man who intends to wear it. And what's more... ]
Cyno, did you design this yourself?
[ His fingers trace over the design, although he's careful not to touch the actual paper, lest he smudge it. ]
[ Admittedly, he's curious about who his friend may have asked for assistance with the art, but he doesn't ask for now. Instead, he takes the paper and moves to Cyno's other side, holding it up so he can visualize it a little better— regardless of what the other is currently wearing, Kaveh's memory is strong anyway.
[ he's wearing a loose tank top, so his arms are very much visible.. nevermind the weather, cyno always has some skin out!! he looks pleased that kaveh likes it, however - kaveh is the most artistic among them, after all, so cyno very much appreciates his input and guidance.
together they move along the street. ]
Yours, too. Is that picture true to the size that you want?
Not quite. That's why I drew it on my arm as well so the artist could see it. I tried, but found it was a little smaller than I wanted when I was testing it against my arm. So I drew the self-portrait for size and positioning help. The thing is, I think it loses some detail if it's that little bit smaller, but I know that's me being critical. So I'm trusting the artist.
[ It's not a long conversation, but by the time Kaveh is finished explaining, they're already at the front of the parlor.
a date for tattoos~ backdated to a little before Alhaitham's departure
