[ this time, cyno sleeps soundly, peacefully, entirely at ease and entirely comfortable. tighnari's presence is a balm that eases his soul and his mind both, and no more nightmares plague him now, not with tighnari here. sunlight soon streams through the gauzy curtains of his bedroom, kissing his eyelids, and cyno stirs.

they've become entangled in the night, a twist of arms and legs together. both of cyno's arms are around tighnari now, and his face is half buried against the fox's shoulder. tighnari feels incredibly warm, soft and pliant against him, and in his sleepy haze cyno burrows in closer, dragging his nose and mouth along the curve of his companion's throat, to the delicate space at the edge of his jaw.

he hums. content. a rumble in his chest. ]

Nari.. [ he murmurs, bleary and heavy in his limbs. ]

[ the rest of the night remains quiet, which allows tighnari to fall into a deep sleep. any filtering light is dealt with by simply burrowing a bit more under the blankets. normally he is quite easily an early riser, sometimes even before the sun can be seen through the heavy leaves of trees. but it's different here.

the warmth that envelops him allows him to stay asleep, far too comfortable that the sheer idea of getting up and out of bed is neither here or there. even the trailing touch along his throat and jaw doesn't wake him, though he does stir just a little with a slight tilt of his head.

his ears are completely drooping in his lax sleeping state, his tail that has escaped the previous hold of cyno's arm earlier in the night is now curled firmly around the other man. the only indication that the fox even hears his own name is a half-hearted flick of that tail before it stills again.

he presses further into the hold of those arms around him with a soft sleepy hum from his throat, but there are no signs of him waking. instead he burrows a bit more into that comfort, ears pressing further into dark hair.] Mmm..?

[ cyno, too, is an early riser, it's one of the many things they have in common, but like tighnari, he's feeling safe and secure enough to allow himself to bask in that comfortable morning sleepiness, especially right now. a rough chuckle rolls from deep in his chest, and cyno breathes a sigh, closing his eyes again. ]

It's morning.

[ he murmurs, though he does not move even an inch, except to curl in closer. they're wrapped in one another so fully that it's difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins, and that's just how cyno likes it. he wants to dissolve into tighnari, to sink into his bones and rest there.

he pulls the blankets a little higher around them. it's morning, yes, but clearly neither of them are interested in getting up. ]

Already? ...Should get up..

[ his voice slurs with sleep, however the fox makes no notion or any indication he's actually waking up. not when cyno curls in closer, which ends up having a purr-like rumble from tighnari's chest that cannot be mistakened for anything else.

he does not seem to mind how tangled they are with one another either. though his tail does loosen a little, it's only to sway up and down with clear contentment. even with the blanket pulling further over them, his body is slowly waking even if he would like to stay in this warm cocoon for much longer.

eventually his lips part with a yawn, one ear perking up with some more alertness - despite the other one still flopped down. ]

Sleep well?

[ yes, they should probably get up.. yet neither of them seems particularly keen.

moments like this, after all, are usually a rarity. since discovering the hotel, he and tighnari have had a lot of opportunity to spend time together, far more time than they would under normal circumstances, so cyno is well aware of just how precious this is. ]

Yeah. I did.

[ and he means it. no more nightmares. only comfortable, restful sleep. when that tail begins to twitch and sway, cyno shifts a little, the fur tickling his skin. ]

You?

[ moments like these definitely don't come often, enough so tighnari feels as if it's only because they're here that they're able to. which is likely why his drowsy state continues to indulge a bit more. especially when cyno makes no attempt to pull away in turn. ]

Hmmm.. did I?

[ there's an airy softness to his voice, that earlier purr quietening down. when his eyes open, they remain half-lidded, two-toned eyes gleaming a little under the faint glow of the sunlight peeking in. his lips quirk up, a sleepy smile settling there while his tail curls up with the ends brushing just beneath the other's chin. ]

It's almost tempting to sleep in.

Heh. I know..

[ cyno chuckles, and the sound is warm and rough like desert sand, his voice still gravelly with sleep, but gentle and warmed by his contentedness. it's funny, really, how different a person the general mahamatra is when he's around those he loves, how easily tighnari brings out his softness and gentle heart. most of sumeru might be shocked by the reality of cyno's disposition.

as for sleeping in.. it's certainly a testament to their comfort and happiness right now that they would even consider it. they're both very active men, who rise early and work hard, sleeping in wasn't something either of them were prone to, and yet right now they could barely bring themselves to move at all. when that tail tickles his chin, cyno smiles again and frees a hand to rub it deep into that thick fur. ]

How's your ankle feeling?

[ as soon as that hand sinks into that tail does it rest again over the man. the ends of it twitching as fingers rub deep into fur, sending a slight shiver up tighnari's spine. a feeling he chases away as he tries to untangle his legs from cyno's own with a light stretch.]

Hmm... much better after some rest. Should be fine to walk around.

[ he eases onto his own stomach with a deeper stretch, his tail curling with ears flicking back and a soft groan. it really is difficult to get out from this comfort, but he knows he shouldn't get too used to it. then he'll really not want to escape this warmth. ]

Still need a few minutes?

Need? No.

[ want? yes. he wants to lie in bed with tighnari all day, holding him and touching his tail, but that would be greedy, and selfish, and cyno is neither of those. still, the desire to petulantly cling to these moments is there nonetheless.

but he relents. when tighnari slips his legs free, cyno pulls back as well and sits up, the sheets and blankets pooling at his waist as he arches his back in a satisfying stretch that makes his spine pop. he rubs his face with both hands, biting his knuckles against a yawn, and.. boy is his morning hair impressive. ]

I'll get started on breakfast.

[ an elbow props onto the mattress, jaw resting in the palm of his hand as he looks over at his companion and... really, like this, this really could be mistaken as something extremely intimate.

and yet he is more focused on that morning hair that cyno is now sporting which gets a chuckle, gaze twinkling with amusement and swishes of his tail. like this, cyno looks quite adorable. ]

I can make us something instead if you like.

[ alas, his morning hair is a common sight.. cyno's hair can be quite fluffy even at the best of times, and in the mornings he looks like a rumpled jackal, all puffed up. he yawns again, then glances toward tighnari, who looks so nice and comfortable in his bed. ]

Mm. Sure, if you want. If your ankle is up for it.

[ he doesn't want tighnari pushing himself too much, and reinjuring himself!! but he's also, admittedly, quite fussy about his loved ones. ]

[ tighnari laughs a little at that, sitting up and reaching over to ruffle the man's hair even further. a big floof. he turns after to sit at the edge of the bed, stretching a little more before moving to a stand. ]

There's no need to fuss so much. Trust me, I'm fine.

[ which is said lightly in his gentle scolding. he knows cyno well to worry easily over those he cares about, so he's quick to reassure. ]

Anything in particular you want to eat? Or should I help myself to whatever you have in your kitchen.

All right.

[ he knows when to reel in the fussing. if tighnari says he's doing all right, then he's doing all right, and that's that. he smiles when his hair is ruffled, then swings his legs over the edge of the bed as well. ]

I'll get a shower first then, if you don't mind. You can help yourself to anything. Surprise me.

I don't mind, go ahead.

[ tighnari can hold off on a shower himself, if because drying his fur afterward certainly takes some time. so he's fine with food being left with him. the fox offers another nod before he slides off the bed entirely and makes his way in the direction of the kitchen.

it's still early enough in the morning that he decides to stick with a breakfast item. which is how he comes to make some Beid Bel Basturma, with eggs over thin slices of basturma seeming a cozy meal to have after waking. whenever cyno eventually joins him after his shower, it'll be more than prepared as he sets dishes aside for them both. though he rummages a little in search of glasses for some water for them as he ponders out loud. ]

Was it here..?

[ cyno is an efficient man, and he showers quickly to the scent of cooking breakfast drifting through the space. it's some twenty minutes later that he emerges, dressed for the day, his hair tamed and damp, left down to dry.

he inhales deeply as he pads into the kitchen. ]

Smells good..

[ he murmurs, smiling at the sight of tighnari rooting around his kitchen. it feels almost like they're playing at house, the domesticity of the moment makes his chest tighten up a little. ]

What are you looking for?

Hopefully it tastes as good as it smells.

[ though he says, but tighnari is confident plenty in his own cooking. he pauses in his attempt to reach around at the inquiry, looking over his shoulder with a light sway of his tail. ]

Oh, some glasses. I was going to pour us some water.

[ cyno is confident in tighnari's cooking, as well!! he loves it, even if it's not always as spicy as he might prefer it to be, but that's all right. it's still very good, cyno will never complain. ]

Cabinet above you.

[ he says, swatting playfully at tighnari's tail before he slides onto a barstool at the kitchen island. ]

[ lucky for cyno, tighnari did put a little work into this. ]

Ah, thank you.

[ though that tail quickly whips right on back at that hand. hmph! gathering the glasses, he fills them both with water until making his way over to slide both a bowl of food and glass in front of him. ]

This one is yours. I tried to add at least some more spices in after so I hope it came out alright.

[ it was easy to make it the way he himself prefers and then do a bit more for cyno's own preferable spice levels but. he couldn't risk tasting it too much to make sure.]

[ tighnari is always so good to him - making sure his food was specially spiced and flavored, so he didn't find it too bland. he really is an incredibly thoughtful person. it was funny, sometimes, to think about how they met, how he'd once thought tighnari was a suspicious individual.. he couldn't have been more wrong, yet he's thankful that he investigated him nonetheless. if he hadn't, they wouldn't be here, and cyno's life would be dimmer for it. ]

[ he says with a smile, immediately tucking into his meal. it was, of course, quite delicious, and cyno hummed his satisfaction with a nod, washing down a few mouthfuls with some water. ]

Very good. Did you sleep all right?

[ their first meeting is always a bit of a funny memory to think back on, if because tighnari was so focused on his research while humoring requests from other students to seek his help or opinions on things. that by the time he was prodded with suspicions, he was quick to show it for what it was - a simple man that naturally had people flocking to him because of the kindness he would manage to spare and opportunities to talk. ]

Mhm, of course.

[ and now here they both were, in some extended hotel outside the universe with so many mysteries and places to explore with the both of them sitting so homely in a kitchen having breakfast. he helps himself to a bit of his own food, midchew when asked that he swallows away with some water. ]

Considering I didn't get up as early as I normally do, I'd say so.

Heh. Right.

[ they both slept in a little, didn't they? they could've slept in even later, which was quite tempting for a number of reasons, but in the end they're both such responsible men, it wasn't in the cards. it's all right, cyno enjoys this, too, just having tighnari beside him in any capacity is pleasing to him. ]

I think I'll pop back home today for a little while, gather up a few decks of cards for people who are interested in playing TCG.

[ he's met a surprising amount of people who are into the idea! ]

Not too surprising. I'm sure it'll be more fun having more people to choose from to play against with, instead of just Kaveh and I.

[ he works at his breakfast in the meantime, only moving to wash dishes once they're both finished. otherwise, he's fine with enjoying conversation with the other man as they indulge in this comfortable moment. ]

Don't forget you still owe me a tour.

[ even if he's seen quite a bit already by now. ]

Well, I do love playing with you both, but yes.

[ diversity! or something. besides, he'd tire tighnari out if they played as often as cyno really wants to. at any rate, they clear up their breakfast with ease, and cyno takes up the drying position, wiping the dishes down as tighnari hands them to him. ]

Well, you've seen most everything, but sure.

You can play with either of us whenever, branching out will be good for you.

[ his tail sways as they fall into this soft quiet domestic moment, washing the dishes and handing them to cyno to dry. it isn't until they're done with the task does he move to dry his own hands, humming. ]

Even so show me around anyways.

Heh, all right, all right.

[ with the last dish now put away, cyno begins the tour! tighnari has already seen the open area living room/dining/kitchen space, as well as his bedroom, so next he shows off the spacious baths, which he's enjoyed indulging in, and lastly, the patio area.

tighnari will enjoy this space most, he thinks. it's open air, shielded from the desert sun, and there are several small ponds built in, bursting with lotuses and filled with fish. ]
